What Is Cellulite?
Cellulite is surrounded by myths. There are many misleading "facts" about cellulite that have led women to desperately try to get rid of or avoid getting cellulite, only to end up with it gracing their back sides. Cellulite is caused by a buildup of fats and toxins underneath the skin. As the skin loses elasticity, the excess fats and toxins work to form those marks that we all can recognize.
Cellulite is an annoying fat cell that cannot be burned as fuel. Cellulite is a normal human body fat variation that is viewed by the general public as a sort of disease. The term cellulite was coined in 1973 and refers to the dimpled appearance of the skin that some people have on their hips, thighs, and buttocks. Cellulite is for the most part found in women during their hormonal changes such as puberty, pregnancy, and menopause and also whilst taking birth control pills. A woman's hormones are usually responsible for the regulation of their blood flow, fat, connective tissue and lymphatic drainage.
Cellulite is a condition that affects most women over the age of 30. A common myth about cellulite is that it is caused by being overweight but recently it's been shown that many people who are not overweight also have this problem. Cellulite is merely an effect created by connective tissue filled with fat. The cottage cheese appearance or multiple dimples on the skin occurs in over 90% of post pubescent women.
